Training Ecoguards in large carnivores survey techniques in the Benoue Ecosystem

We strengthened the capacity of ecoguards, lion guards and members from local communities in large carnivores survey techniques in the three Benoue Ecosystem parks (Bouba Ndjidda, Benoue and Faro NPs). This training, which focused on updating participants on current trends in the complex’s lion populations, human rights in protected areas and novel technologies for wildlife monitoring, aimed to equip and involve them in our project of the last stable and viable lion population conservation in the Benoue Ecosystem, North Cameroon. Thanks to our various technical and financial partners who stand up for lions in this biodiversity hotspot.
